"Down by the Riverside" (aussi connu sous le titre "Ain't Gonna Study War No More" ou "Gonna lay down my burden") est un chant Gospel populaire. Il fut publié pour la première fois en 1918 dans un reccueil "Mélodies des plantations" . Le premier enregistrement date de 1920 avec le Quartet Fisk University Jubilee.
